My book review of 'Mouse and Mole Boo to the Who' by Joyce Dunbar and illustrated by James Mayhew
This is the latest in the adventures of Mouse and Mole and it's just lovely!
There are three stories in this book, each one beautifully illustrated by James Mayhew, with Joyce Dunbar regaling the quirky musings of Mouse and Mole as they enjoy the passing of the seasons.
In this edition we join them on a walk through the countryside where they never seem to quite get where they want to be, and don't altogether appreciate being here either.
They scare themselves on a dark night as Mole thinks he sees eyes peeking through the partly drawn living room curtains. When they go outside to investigate and confront the mysterious trespasser, they get more than they bargained for.
And as they relish a warming bowl of soup, they contemplate the meaning of life, getting old and enjoying the present moment.
It's a wonderful selection of stories and the illustrations are perfect.
