Seven Months of Summer
by Saskia Sarginson

It's 1993 and Kit and Summer have a holiday romance. They both think this could be something more but their time together is cut short by tragic events, misunderstandings, lies and failed messages.

In the summer months that follow, the two have both returned to England independently, not knowing how to get in touch but desperate to have questions answered. Individually they try to piece together the information they've gained of each other, but will they meet again or are they destined never to be in the right place at the right time?

The book begins with a sense of inevitability. Of course we know where this is going...? But the characters are engaging and the events that take place (in Suffolk) over the seven months keep you turning the pages wanting to know how the relationship will be resolved. And there's always that sense of 'what if' that intrigues us all. Who might we have been destined to meet if we'd made a different decision one day?!
