My book review of 'Lost' by Sam Usher
This is the third in what is intended as a quartet of books by Sam Usher, aimed at readers aged three to five.
This felt like a book of two halves on my first reading.
First we meet Boy. On a grey day, he's bored. But Grandad has plans.
They set out in the horrible weather to buy some bits and pieces which Grandad takes home and transforms into a wonderful sledge.
Then they go outside into what has become a winter wonderland and embark on a mission to find a lost dog. With the sledge, though, their adventure knows no bounds.
It is an endearing, magical book and perfect as a Christmas or winter gift.
