Amber Undercover
by Em Norry

Amber Roberts is a typical teenager. Life is all about school, friends, and the occasional curve ball from parents. But when she takes part in an Escape Room challenge, it seems she has talents she never knew she possessed.

Amber is great at problem solving and thinking on her feet. It seems she has the perfect credentials for being a spy!

After leading her team of friends to succeed in an Escape Room, Amber is invited  by the organisers to take part in more trials, on her own. And with unsettling developments at home and changing dynamics in her friendship groups, she is happy to be independent and try something new.

Soon Amber finds out that this isn't a leisure company doing market research, but an agency of spies. She passes their tests and learns a few tricks in taking on an alias but her first proper assignment still seems to come too soon. Will she be able to rise to the challenge?!

This is a fabulous page-turner of a book which introduces Amber as an inspiring and relatable protagonist. Alongside the issues of friendship, family and growing up, the story is set in a world of computer hacking, Bitcoin and cybersecurity. It's great!
