My book review of 'Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright' by Fiona Waters and Britta Teckentrup
As a child, I remember having a beautiful big book of poems. I can't say I learnt them all by heart but I do remember being delighted by flicking through the pages and discovering something new every time. And this is just such a book.
It's a hefty volume, full of poems by well known writers - such as William Blake (of course),Ted Hughes, Lewis Carroll, Christina Rossetti, Emily Dickinson, Dick King-Smith, Roger McGough.
There are stunning rich, bright, mesmerising illustrations throughout.
All the poems are about animals and there are 366 here, something for every day of the year.
It's beautiful. A wonderful resource that any young person might cherish and return to time and again.
