Meet the author Adam Henson
The popular tv presenter and farmer Adam Henson will be joining us in this special evening event at the Riverside, Woodbridge, to talk about 'Christmas on the Farm', his new book.
In conversation with Catherine Larner, Adam will share stories of Christmases past and present.
Animals come first on a farm, and Christmas is no different, so he'll tell us about the time the troughs froze over, and when the snow was so deep they had to saddle up the shire horses to get across the fields. And when puppies appeared under the Christmas tree... All this and much more in what is sure to be an entertaining and enlightening evening.
Adam has spent more than 50 years on the farm, first run by his father. The Cotswold Farm Park in Gloucestershire is known for its pioneering work in rare breed conservation.
Adam is known best as the presenter of BBC's Countryfile but regularly fronts many tv programmes about rural life and the natural world such as Lambing Live and Insight Out. He has written five books and contributes a monthly column to Cotswold Life magazine. All this while continuing to run the farm in Gloucestershire.
This evening with Adam will introduce us to the ups and downs of a farmer's life, with lots of fun and laughter, and is sure to put us in the mood for Christmas!
