My book review of 'Wild Light' by Angela Harding
Following on from the hugely successful 'A Year Unfolding', celebrating the body of work from Angela Harding, 'Wild Light' explores night and day with the printmaker - how light and shade, sunlight and darkness, activity and stillness inspire and challenge Angela as she creates her stunning pictures.
Beautiful photographs of Angela at home in the village of Wing punctuate her artwork. And the inspiration for these glorious landscapes and scenes of birds, dogs and wildlife is explained in a vivid and personal commentary. It's just as if Angela's sitting next to you describing her walks through the countryside, or watching the sun go down with her husband on the deck of the boat.
I will be speaking to Angela for the Suffolk dates of her book tour next month. You can join us at Halesworth, Snape or Southwold - I'll have more details next week. If you can't wait, or live outside Suffolk, take a look on Angela's website here. Or you can read my article about Angela in 'Classic Boat' magazine here. And look out for the latest Angela Harding advent calendar which this year features curlews!
