Maggie O'Farrell in conversation

Monday 6th November 2017, 7.30pm
Venue: Woodbridge Library
Tickets: £8 with £5 discount on the book 'I Am, I Am, I Am'

Maggie O’Farrell is a much-loved author of seven award-winning novels, including ‘The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox’ and her most recent book, ‘This Must Be the Place’. She is a Sunday Times bestseller, and a Costa prizewinner.

This year Maggie has attracted huge attention for her shocking and enthralling memoir 'I Am, I Am, I Am’. Written first as a project to give hope to her eight-year-old daughter, the book looks back on the numerous near-death experiences Maggie recalls in her life. In doing so, she raises questions for us all to ponder. What would you do if your life was in danger? How would you react? What would you stand to lose?

Tickets for this event sold out weeks earlier. Maggie has a very loyal and passionate following and the packed audience were very attentive as she shared her story of how this book came about, and her life as a writer generally.

Maggie had travelled from her home in Scotland to join us for the evening, and was up very early the next morning to get the flight back.

We also admired her great dress sense, particularly noting her stunning shoes, though not being brave enough to ask where she got them!
