A picture book which is great fun: lots to look at in the illustrations and plenty of giggles from the text

My review:
Pirate Gran is encouraging her family to help her train for the Olympics. She's determined to take part but she doesn't know in which sport. So she tries her hand at a wide selection, with very limited success. Eventually, after all her activities, Gran tells the children that it's not winning but taking part that matters, and having fun. But they award her a gold medal for being a champion Gran.
This is a beautifully illustrated book which is lots of fun. It will have the whole family chuckling over the pictures and the storyline, and will be returned to over and over again.
