My review:

It's a snowy day and all the children are playing in the park, having fun.

Then one little boy discovers that he's lost his favourite toy, his Little Fox.

Naturally he's very upset and the family searches for hours to try and find Little Fox. Eventually they have to give up and the little boy goes to sleep.

But he's woken in the night by something calling his name outside. Looking out of his window he sees a beautiful fox in the moonlight. She nods to him and he decides to follow her.

They travel together through the city and through the fields until they get to an icy lake where the boy discovers why the fox has wanted him to follow her.

The boy has a task to perform.

And later he finds that the fox can help him in finding his lost toy.

This is a delightful story, told in rhyme. The images are simple but powerful. There's a beautifully cold blue palette for the snowy scenes, and there's a lovely 'was it magic, was it a dream?' puzzle at the end.
