My review:

This is a brilliant book! I absolutely loved it. And I recommend you read it, and/or get your younger people to read it as soon as you can. It's wondefully inspiring and uplifting as well as offering a new perspective on Artificial Intelligence!

When robot Roz opens her eyes for the first time, she discovers that she is alone on a remote, wild island. She has no idea how she got there or what her purpose is - but she knows she needs to survive.

She soon realises that she has to adapt to her surroundings and learn from the inhabitants. And though the animals are initially wary and hostile, she soon proves her worth and they all seem to live happily together.

Then one day, it's clear that Roz is unable to disassociate herself from her past, and her new way of life is under threat.

This is a heart-warming tale of nature and technology working together in harmony. It's an action-packed adventure with illustrations throughout, from the author. And it's one of the few times where I was actually thrilled and relieved to find that there is a sequel. A beautiful, wonderful, clever story. I loved it!
