My review:

The king and queen had no children, so the king asked the inventor for help and the queen asked the witch. No gender stereotyping there then?!

A little wooden robot and a perfect log princess come into being and they spend happy days playing together.

Until one day the Log Princess goes missing and her brother, the Little Wooden Robot, embarks on an epic adventure to find her. There are goblins, magic puddings, a mushroom queen, a wood pile and some heroic woodlice but will he ever find the Log Princess?

It's a comical but also moving story about love, loyalty and courage and the illustrations are great fun too.
