This is not an autobiography. It's not a devotional from a celebrated theologian. Nor is it really a story of a life lived. 

It is, though, an opportunity to learn something of the mind, discipline and motivation of this respected academic and gifted scientist, and his path to belief, faith and truth.

The description of his studies, his learning and application, and his path through academia was fascinating. I found myself living his life in Oxford, absorbed by his dedication and his excitement at new discoveries, working alongside other great minds.

The story of his refusal to accept that science held all the answers was intriguing, too, though his theological arguments were presented in more depth than his earlier explanations of scientific theories and I found them more difficult to absorb!

It's an intriguing and engrossing read, enjoyable and thought-provoking, and I feel sure I will turn to it again.
