Details for 'The Guggenheim Mystery' by Robin Stevens
The Guggenheim Mystery
Recommended age: 8+
Three children investigate an art theft and explore the streets of New York trying to find the answers. Funny, clever and great scene-setting, this is a fabulous follow-up to The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd.
My review:
Ted Spark went on holiday with his mum and sister to visit his Aunt Gloria and cousin Salim in New York.
Ted has an unusual take on life which can prove amusing to others, but also very helpful as he has a knack for solving mysteries.
When his aunt is accused of stealing a multi-million pound painting from her workplace at the Guggenheim Museum, Ted, Salim and Kat know that they must prove her innocence. And they travel all over New York, interviewing all the suspects, in order to do so.
This is a funny and engaging mystery, beautifully told with great characters and wonderful scene setting.
If you enjoyed this, you must read The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd which inspired this book.
